The lands of Castelliri are crossed by the waters of the Liri river. The village is at the feet of the Ernici mountains with an extension of the 15,51 sqkm. Populated by the the Ernici and Volsci, the territory maintained characteristics and identity of a lively agricultural center over the centuries. The village is divided in two: one part is the historical center on the top of a hill. The other part is the plain at the feet of the hill, covered by the golden wheat fields, where the river Liri flows and where Castelliri brewery is located.
Green, there is no other color you could associate to this part of the Center of Italy. The Ciociaria, a land celebrated in the Films of the ‘60ies by movie icons such as Sofia Loren, is surrounded by a wild nature, that does not really want to be tamed. The Green of a vegetation that continues to resist to cementification and industrialization. Despite human activities, despite everything!
The Brewery
The Birrificio Castelliri was originally a dream of the CEO. This dream was then revived in a hot summer night in South East Asia, with a group of friends reminiscing about the beauty of Castelliri and its nature.

To rediscover the pleasure of small genuine things; to show an almost unexplored territory; to pay homage to a river that slowly flows since thousands of years… Because there is nothing better like a good glass of beer to slow motion a joyful moment, before it slips away… Because beauty is everywhere!
Elena
Elena is a highly fermented blond bleer, produced with an ancient wild plum growing in the Comino Valley in Ciociaria, very near to our brewery. Corpo leggero, colore leggermente dorato, per chi ama le definizioni, una “Summer Ale”. Note agrumate e floreali, e di frutta tropicale si affiancano a quelle più balsamiche delle erbe dell’orto e della foglia di pomodoro. In bocca la pungenza delle susine e il corpo secco conducono a un finale fresco e pulito. An ideal refreshing beer in a hot summer day.
Angela
